London-based home care technology provider Birdie has appointed former TotallyMoney chief executive Alastair Douglas as CEO from the start of November. Co-founder Max Parmentier, who has led the company since founding it in 2017, steps down as chief executive and becomes chair.

Douglas, who was also part of the founding team at Peakon, joined the company the week before the announcement and is working alongside Parmentier through October. Co-founders Rajiv Tanna and Abeed Mohamed stay on as chief operations officer and chief revenue officer.
