Copenhagen aftersales platform Claimlane has raised EUR 5.6 million in Series A funding led by Verb Ventures, with Skagerak Capital and Vendep Capital participating, plus angels Mette Høi Davidsen, Nicolaj Reffstrup and Jesper Eiby. The money funds customer-specific AI agents and US expansion.

Tech.eu said Claimlane connects brands, retailers, suppliers, manufacturers and repair partners around warranty claims, repairs, replacements and refunds, and that North America is already its largest market for new customers this year.

The aftersales problem

When a product breaks, Claimlane argues, customers see one issue while brands juggle warranty decisions, root-cause checks, repairs, replacements, refunds and credit notes across email threads and disconnected systems. The company says its network now spans more than 20,000 retailers and brands, including Skechers, Black Diamond, tonies and Hummel.

The platform connects the parties on a claim, puts each case in the context of product, warranty, supplier agreement and history, and helps teams act through connected systems. Claimlane's thesis is that aftersales can move from a cost centre to a profit centre when resolution recovers value and protects loyalty.

Where the capital goes

Funding will deepen AI agents built around each customer's products, warranty policies, supplier agreements and workflows. Agents are meant to assess cases against a business's own policies and move claims toward resolution, with people involved where judgement is needed. Over time the company plans deeper expertise in electronics, furniture and outdoor equipment.

"The demand we're seeing from US brands and retailers makes our next move clear: we're investing in building a major business here. With this funding, we'll continue building AI agents that learn and handle complex aftersales workflows across the supply chain," CEO and co-founder Anders Sommer said in the company announcement.

Sommer has relocated to Austin to lead the next phase of US growth, backed by teams in Copenhagen and London. Claimlane said US sales opportunities are up 150% year on year and newly created pipeline value has doubled. North America is its largest market for new customers so far this year.

Customer and investor voices

Lauren Cooper, director of global customer happiness at tonies, said Claimlane helps reduce manual work as the brand expands globally so support stays simple for families. Tess Jordan of Black Diamond said the platform helped turn aftersales from a cost centre into a profit centre by freeing the team to build a paid repairs programme.

Alexey Bulygin, principal at Verb Ventures, said: "We believe enduring AI businesses will combine specialised knowledge with the ability to execute within real workflows. Claimlane's network and operational role provide a foundation that is difficult to replicate with AI alone."

Why it matters for European founders and investors

Aftersales is a messy, multi-party workflow that looks ripe for vertical AI, but only if the vendor already sits inside the claim network. Claimlane's buy-in from consumer brands and its US relocation are a reminder that European B2B SaaS often finds its largest incremental demand outside Europe. For founders, the useful detail is not only the EUR 5.6 million cheque but the operating proof points: a 20,000-plus retailer and brand network, named global customers, and a CEO physically moving to the market that is already producing the most new logos.

The company is careful to keep humans in the loop for judgement calls, which matters in warranty disputes where liability and supplier cost allocation can be contested. That design choice may ease adoption among brands that will not hand final refund or replacement decisions to a fully autonomous agent.

What happens next

Claimlane will ship deeper customer-specific AI agents, add category expertise and scale US operations from Austin while keeping product and delivery capacity in Copenhagen and London.
