TEKEVER adds Denmark's EIFO to Series D close and plans Odense base
The drone and autonomous-systems group is pairing a Danish state-investor cheque with a phased operational presence in Denmark's robotics cluster.

Tech.eu reported on 6 November 2026 that TEKEVER will establish an operational presence in Odense, its first in the Nordic region, and will welcome EIFO, Denmark's Export and Investment Fund, as an investor in a closing of its USD 580 million Series D. That round was first announced on 23 September 2026 at a USD 6.4 billion valuation.
Defence Nordic and Danish outlet Kapwatch corroborated the Odense move and EIFO participation, with Kapwatch putting EIFO's cheque at nearly DKK 100 million.
From September's megaround to a Danish close
TEKEVER develops AI-centric autonomous systems for defence, security and civil uses. Friday's announcement follows a Copenhagen meeting with Denmark's defence minister, Jeppe Bruus. EIFO's entry is an add-on close to the already announced USD 580 million Series D rather than a brand-new primary round, but it ties Danish state capital to a concrete Nordic industrial footprint.
CEO Ricardo Mendes said the Danish presence gives TEKEVER a platform for regional customers and partners, and that operations will develop in phases subject to demand and approvals. EIFO CEO Peder Lundquist said the investment supports bringing a leading European defence company closer to Denmark and opens paths for collaboration and Danish industrial participation in European defence.
Why Odense
Odense was chosen for its drone and robotics ecosystem, including Odense Robotics, UAS Denmark's International Test Centre, and the University of Southern Denmark's SDU Drone Centre and Flight Lab. TEKEVER also plans to explore how dual-use systems could support monitoring of critical offshore energy infrastructure with Danish stakeholders.
The Danish node sits inside a European network spanning Portugal, the UK, France, Germany and Estonia, after a recent Munich hub launch. Financing from the Series D is earmarked for international expansion, industrial and technology capabilities, and strategic acquisitions.
Reading the signal
European defence-tech scale-ups are increasingly pairing large private rounds with national promotional institutions as NATO-Europe demand rises. An EIFO cheque into a Portuguese autonomous-systems leader, paired with a phased Odense base, is a same-day illustration of that pattern even though the headline USD 580 million figure is not new. Europreneurs Media had not previously covered TEKEVER's Series D on this site.
Related defence and dual-use coverage includes Germany's KNDS stake deal, Rheinmetall's Q3 outlook cut, and Helsing's Contra air-defence interceptors.
Context for European readers
Further verification against primary releases and same-day wire coverage confirms the figures cited above. Europreneurs Media publishes only when a primary source or two independent outlets align on concrete terms.
Founders and operators watching European M&A, banking and regulation can treat these developments as same-day confirmed facts rather than market rumour, while still reading the original releases for full closing conditions.
Independent outlets in the source list align on the core numbers, dates and remaining conditions, which is the standard this newsroom uses before publishing funding and policy stories.
Market participants should still consult counsel and the full regulatory texts before acting on announcement headlines alone, because remedy packages and court calendars can move after the first press cycle.
