Siemens-led investment pushes Skeleton Technologies past a $1bn valuation
The supercapacitor maker will use the money to build out US manufacturing for AI data-centre power systems.
Skeleton Technologies, which builds high-power systems around its proprietary Curved Graphene material, has announced a strategic investment from Siemens that takes its valuation past $1 billion. CEO Taavi Madiberk described it as a nine-figure round led by Siemens.
The money will mainly fund a bigger US manufacturing footprint and R&D in Silicon Valley, aimed at hyperscalers' demand for AI data-centre power systems. Skeleton plans to invest more than $200 million in US scale-up and R&D, including domestic cell manufacturing.
