Nvidia takes stakes in nine European AI startups as Jensen Huang tours the continent
Four French and five British companies get the chipmaker on their cap tables, but nobody is saying at what price.
Nvidia is taking minority stakes in nine startups in France and the UK. In France, the chipmaker is investing in healthtech Doctolib, materials-discovery startup Entalpic, robotics company Genesis AI and planning-software maker Pigment. In the UK, chief executive Jensen Huang unveiled positions in Boltz, Foresight, Hiverge, Prima Mente and Cambridge quantum error-correction company Riverlane at an event in London.
Cheque sizes and valuations were not disclosed. Alongside the stakes, Nvidia committed a compute donation valued at $250 million over five years to support UK AI safety and security research.
